ABOUT ME
I was born in Bolu on January 26th, 1981. It was at 8 a.m. on a Monday morning. That's why I like Mondays very much and never feel in a depression on Monday mornings. By the way, if you could love Mondays, you can love any days of the week.
I graduated from Bolu Izzet Baysal Anatolian High School and then moved to Ankara for studying English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. I wish I had a chance and could go the same department once more. After I graduated, I understood how invaluable courses I took throughout the undergraduate program.
Then, I started working as an English teacher at a high school and worked there for about 2 years. After that, I was accepted as an MA student and a research assistant at the Department of English Language Teaching. Here, it was an excellent chance for me to work with Prof. Dr. Arif Altun throughout my thesis.
After I completed MA, I went to Ankara for the Ph.D. program and it was quite an excellent opportunity for me to work at Middle East Technical University for about 5 years as a research assistant. Prof. Dr. Gölge Seferoğlu helped me too much not only as my Ph.D. supervisor but also for the days I was trying to get used to days in Ankara.
While doing this academic stuff, my wife, Berna, has always been with me and supported whenever I feel depressed. I can easily say that this achievement would not have been real without her support.
